About us

inCT is a spin-off of the Centre for X-ray tomography of the Ghent University and was founded by prof. dr. Veerle Cnudde en dr. ir. Jelle Vlassenbroeck.

Prof. dr. Veerle Cnudde has a master degree in Geology and performed her PhD research on the application of X-ray tomography in conservation studies of natural building stones. She currently is a Tenure Track research professor at the Department of Geology and Soil Science of the Ghent University, where her research focuses on fluid dynamics in porous media. Veerle Cnudde has extensive experience in the application of X-ray tomography in various fields of material science.

Dr. ir. Jelle Vlassenbroeck has a master degree in Engineering Physics and obtained his PhD entitled 'Advances in laboratory-based X-ray microtomography' on the development of instrumentation and software for high resolution X-ray tomography. He is co-developer of the tomographic reconstruction package Octopus and the 3D analysis package Morpho+. Jelle Vlassenbroeck is currently managing director at inCT.
